ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Möhl Cider Factory is one of the last two remaining cider factories in Switzerland. Möhl is best known for the “Juice from the Barrel”, “Shorley” and the cider “Swizly” and now “Cider Clan”. Tradition, regional ties and sustainability are very important at the Möhl Cider Factory.
In 2018, the Möhl family's legendary distillery and cider museum MOMÖ was opened in Arbon. Thanks to exhibition exhibits that are up to 170 years old, such as fruit mills, presses and laboratory equipment, the Swiss cider making history up to today's distillery and cider making technology can be experienced in the museum.
Around 20 embedded films ensure a surprising and interactive presentation in the production. Five of these films, including illustrations, explain the important processes in the distillation and must process. 5 career profiles invite young visitors in particular to get to know the professions related to cider and distilling better. 2 historical documentaries on the history wall illuminate exciting episodes of Swiss fruit growing. 2 welcome and production films for the in-house cinema plus an employee film round off the moving image offer.
The films are embedded into the production via touchscreens or so-called 'peepers'. In addition to the moving images, sounds were produced for various audio stations. From the fairy tale barrel, to the buzzing of bees in the porch, to the Arbon fire brigade choir.
