ABOUT THE PROJECT

The gender question can certainly be approached with a twinkle in the eye. ‘In her Chair’ asked ten male Swiss CEOs questions that female CEOs are usually confronted with.
The result is a humorous video that draws attention to prejudices in the workplace.

“Do you think your good looks have helped your career?”  – a question that women have to ask themselves in interviews and in the work environment. But how do men react to such questions? The “In Her Chair” project, initiated by headhunter Claire Garwacki, is dedicated to this topic. Based on various reports from female candidates, Garwacki has put together typically “female” questions that were asked to ten well-known male Swiss CEOs of well-known companies such as Swisscard, Sandoz, Rivella and Zurich Zoo as part of the video project. The result: A video that draws attention to the topic of “gender equality in the workplace” with a wink and without raising a finger.

Unconscious biases and associated stereotypical categorization are actually inherently essential survival processes. “Gender” is just one of many examples of unconscious prejudice. However, these can influence the way in which women can act in business, particularly in the professional world

The aim was to take a new perspective on the debate about gender equality using an open and humorous approach.
